Creative enrichment through
storytelling and music
Storyteller and guitarist, Judy Potter, invites your
children up to the “stage” to “pretend” (act out) the story they’ve just heard.
Music, singing and audience participation are woven into each play, and
children have an opportunity at the end of the “performance” to come up and
strum Judy’s guitar for the ending sing a long. Bring your clapping hands and
imaginations and come join the fun!
Old fashioned family fun in the

Storyteller and guitarist, Judy Potter, will come to your

Children act out the story they’ve just heard in a “real” theatre setting, with
light people, actors, and an announcer. Plays are performed twice, so that all

Judy is gradually losing her sight, and uses a white cane to
travel, and this often opens up a wonderful communication with the children as
they naturally ask questions about blindness, or in Judy’s case, what its like
to be partially blind.
Judy has been a teacher at the Chester Child Center for the
past 36 years, but due to her recent acceleration of vision loss, she has
ventured out onto a new journey with her back-packing guitar and is joyfully
taking her “It’s Theatretime” program into the schools, homes, and libraries of
the shoreline and river valley area.
